          OUR PHILOSOPHY:  

Our Primary objective is to foster each child's development with strong attention to individual needs.  Children who feel safe and happy will learn and grow. It is our goal to make the children feel safe and happy right from the start and partnering with families is the key to success. 

We offer a balanced Program in age appropriate structure with equal importance given to socialization and general Kindergarten readiness. 

Children learn through hands on play and structured activities in our well organized learning centers. Our classrooms are organized into "learning environments." These are the places within our classroom where the children can find the toys and materials related by theme, interest, and skills. These activities and toys can be used independently by the children, or with teacher direction, to reinforce and enrich skills and concepts they need. Learning environments are an excellent way to individualize the curriculum to meet the varying needs of young children.  

OUR FACULTY & PROGRAM:
Every member of our teaching staff is highly qualified in teaching pre-school children and has been with us for many years.  Every class has a head teacher and at least one assistant teacher.  We also have a music teacher who provides weekly music instruction, a gym teacher who provides physical education and an Imagination Station teacher who provides science and art.  Children in our 4-year-old classes are introduced to a foreign language.  Several Educational Enrichment programs are offered throughout the year.  Parents also have the opportunity to extend their child's day periodically with themed "Extended Day" programs such as Tae Kwon Do, "Play Your Way," seasonal craft classes and celebrations, and special music classes.

FACILITY:
St. Luke's Nursery School was founded in 1982 with a single classroom of 13 students as an outreach of St. Luke's Church and all faiths are welcome. We are now preparing to celebrate our 30th Anniversary and the Nursery School has expanded into a true educational facility offering programs for 2, 3 and 4 year old children.
