  OUR PHILOSOPHY: 

An early childhood school experience permeated by Christianity provides a child with added richness.  Our Primary objective is to foster each child's development with strong attention to individual needs.  

We offer a balanced Program in age appropriate structure with equal importance given to socialization and general Kindergarten readiness. 

Children learn through hands on play and structured activities in our well organized learning centers. Our classrooms are organized into "learning environments." These are the places within our classroom where the children can find the toys and materials related by theme, interest, and skills. These activities and toys can be used independently by the children, or with teacher direction, to reinforce and enrich skills and concepts they need. Learning environments are an excellent way to individualize the curriculum to meet the varying needs of young children.

OUR FACULTY & PROGRAM:
Every member of our teaching staff is highly qualified in teaching pre-school children.  Every class has a head teacher and at least one assistant teacher.  We also have a music teacher who provides weekly music instruction, a gym teacher who provides physical education and an Imagination Station teacher who provides science and art.  Our Christian emphasis is enhanced by weekly Bible lessons known as "JesusTime."  Children in our 4-year-old classes are introduced to a foreign language.  We also offer several Educational Enrichment programs throughout the year.  Parents also have the opportunity to extend their child's day periodically with themed "Extended Day" programs such as "Play Your Way," Cinco de Mayo celebrations, and special music classes. 

FACILITY:
St. Luke's Nursery School is a ministry of St. Luke's Lutheran Church to assist families in early Christian education.  Founded in 1982 with a single classroom of 13 students, the nursery school has expanded  into a true educational facility offering programs for 2, 3 and 4 year old children without losing our family and Christian orientation.
